  • My grandmother turned me on to TheGoldenGirls back in its debut in '85.

She's gone, but the show stands the test of time.

Truth be told,to take it off Lifetime would probably cause me to boycott the channel entirely.

  • We are in fact a broad diverse group - those who love the Golden Girls. I know some are teens, mid-twenties, thirties, etc. We need to ensure Lifetime understands that some shows are in fact timeless and classic. Those are the ones that draw from a huge cross section of the population. The Golden Girls is just that kind of show. We have been loyal to Lifetime for years, watching the channel day in and day out. Please listen to your loyal and diverse viewers - DO NOT REMOVE THE GOLDEN GIRLS from your line up. It is a classic and it attracts a huge portion of your viewers! KEEP THE GIRLS ON LIFETIME! TV FOR WOMEN... TV FOR THE GIRLS!

  • OMG, I never read that the Golden Girls were going to be removed from Lifetime's lineup. Ummm, HELLOOOO, they are what makes you what you are. My most special memories in watching TV on a Saturday night was watching the show. I agree with the others, to keep Still Standing and Reba, tho I do love her music,is nothing short of ridiculous!!!
Not to mention some of your sappy 'movies for TV'. Some are very good but man oh man, alot are just plain awful. I too have the entire DVD set of our Ladies but when I come home from work at midnight I love nothing better than to watch what I have TVIO'd, our Girls and have a glass of wine and laugh my **** off. Not to mention my friend in Adelaide Australia who loves them as well and has for years. You now have two countries to deal with. Please leave our Ladies and I do mean Ladies where they belong.
    Thank You

  • Yes, Lifetime should definitely leave The Golden Girls right where they are. Also, pull the plug on that awful show Still Standing. I'd like to see them stream full episodes of shows with this type of following online for free, GG, Designing Women, etc. :)

  • I only signed up today, but I've been watching GG since it began. My parents and I would watch it together. Since my parents did not speak English very well, I would have to translate for them. I have to say that there were quite a few episodes in which I chose not to translate some of the dialogue...ahh...good times. I am shocked to read that lifetime is canceling my favorite show as of next year. I have bought most of the seasons on DVDs but still get excited to watch an episode on TV. I am extremely disappointed.
